DU student dies in Cox’s Bazar landslide

A student of Dhaka University (DU) was killed and two others were injured in a landslide in Himchhari fountain, 5km off the beach town of Cox’s Bazar, this afternoon.
The victim was identified as Ridwanul Alam Sabbir, 22, a second year student of Marketing Department and resident of Uttara in Dhaka, reports BSS.
In-charge of Himchhari police camp M Mozammel Haque said a big chunk of hill fell down on them while they were taking bath at the fountain at about 4 pm.
The injured were admitted to Cox’s Bazar Sadar hospital.
Sabbir died on the way to the hospital, said Imran Uddin, a doctor of the hospital.
