Police cordon off ‘militant hideout’ in Meherpur

Police on Saturday cordoned off a house in Bamondi area of Gangni upazila suspecting it a militant den.
Acting on a tip off, a team of police cordoned off a two-storey building owned by one Meskat adjacent to Bamondi Sugercane Purchasing Centre around 10:45am.
Later, police evacuated the ground floor of the building.
Police suspected that the militants are staying on the first floor of the building.
