DSCC to provide free treatment for Chikungunya patients at home

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will provide free treatment and medicine for Chikungunya patients at home, reports BSS.

“After receiving phone call on 09611000999O, our physicians will visit houses of Chikungunya patients for proving them with treatment and medicine free of cost,” DSCC Spokesman Uttam Kumar Roy told BSS here today.

Apart from this, Chikungunya-affected people can receive free treatment and medicine from 28 city healthcare centres, five maternity clinics, two DSCC-run hospitals and one maternity clinic under Urban Primary Healthcare project, he said.

He also said, “The DSCC is undertaking and implementing various initiatives aimed at preventing Chikungunya disease in the shortest possible time as Mayor of DSCC Sayeed Khokon assured townspeople of making Dhaka free from mosquitoes.”

The programmes include, massive fogging activity at every ward, awareness-raising rally, view-exchange meeting at educational institution and distribution of leaflets, he added.
