Bangladeshi youth killed in BSF firing

A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at Doikhawa border area in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat early Thursday.

Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

In this connection, Lieutenant Colonel Golam Morshed of Bangladsh Border Guard (BGB)-15, told Jagonews24.com that, a dead body was seen in the area but its identity could not be identified as Bangladeshi or Indian.

Local people said, The BSF men of Putia camp beat a youth to death when he along with other cattle traders reached near the main pillar number no 905 to bring cattle. His companions, however, managed to flee the scene. Later the BSF members shot him dead.
