SSC exams begin today
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations begin at 10am on Monday.
A total of 1304274 students are participating in the SSC examination under eight general education boards. Of the students, 642507 candidates are male and 661767 female.
Some 248865 students are appearing in the Dakhil examinations while 98,384 students are participating in the SSC (vocational) examination.
A total of 1479266 students appeared in the SSC and equivalent examinations in 2015. Of them, 763339 students were male and 715927 female.
An extra 20 minutes time will be given for students with disabilities in the SSC and the equivalent examinations while examinees with autism will be given 30 minutes.
For the first time, seven examinees with autism will appear in the SSC examination this year, it is learnt.
