Farhad Mazhar ‘missing’

Well-known writer, poet, columnist Farhad Mazhar has been missing since at 5:00 am on Monday, claims his family.

He went out of his home “Haq Garden” at Adabar in Dhaka’s Muhammadpur area around 5:00 am. After half an hour, he called his wife through his mobile phone and said that he had been abducted, claimed his wife.

A complaint was filed with Adabar Police Station in this regard, confirmed duty officer of the police station.

Tejgaon zone DC of police Biplob Kumar and Adabar police station OC Sheikh Shahinur Rahman didn’t respond mobile-phone calls.

An ADC of Tejgaon zone seeking anonymity said, “We got a complaint that someone abducted Farhad Mazhar in the morning. We are looking into the matter.”
