AL man chopped dead

An activist of ruling Awami League (AL) was chopped to death at Dashrashiya Beldarpara area of Islampur union of the district sadar upazila on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain, 30, son of Alauddin of Beldarpara area.

Police recovered the body from the spot.

Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station, confirmed the incident.
