BGB gunned down 1 Bangladeshi over intruding
Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) gunned down a cattle trader and two others were injured critically when they were trying into the country illegally through the border in Jenaidah district.
The incident took place at Jaluli forntier area under Maheshpur Upazila of in the district on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 35, son of Abdul Malek, hailed from Matila village of the upazila.
According to source, a group of cattle trader tried to enter into Bangladesh from India illegally. Meanwhile, BGB personnel stopped them.
At one stage, the cattle traders attacked the BGB patrol team with lethal weapon. In reply, the BGB men fired three rounds bullets, leaving three people bullet injured.
Later, critically injured Rafiqul Islam was sent to Jessore Hospital but he died on the way of hospital.
