3 killed, 4 injured in Faridpur road accident

At least three persons were killed and four others injured as the driver of a microbus lost control over the steering and crashed with a railing of a bridge at Ziakuli area under Nagarkanda upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The victims were identified as Imran, 27, Ayub, 7, two pedestrians and residents of Nagarkanda and Sohel, 40, driver of microbus, said Bhanga Thana highway police Ezazaul Islam.

He said a Khulna-bound microbus crashed with the railing of a bridge around 6pm leaving two persons on the spot and four others injured.

The injured were rushed to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital where Sohel succumbed to his injuries, police said.
