Dhaka condemns terror attack attempt in Mecca

Bangladesh has strongly condemned the Friday`s terrorist plot by suicide bombers in the vicinity of the Grand Mosque in Mecca and reiterated its solidarity with Saudi Arabia in its fight against terrorism and extremism.

In a message to his Saudi counterpart, Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali also hailed the timely and successful action of the Saudi security forces in foiling the attacks, a foreign ministry spokesperson said last night.

The foreign minister also reaffirmed Bangladesh`s commitment to stand by the government and the people of the Kingdom to protect and secure the two holy Mosques.
