17 killed as truck turns turtle in Rangpur

At least 17 people were killed and eight others were injured when a fully loaded cement truck carrying passengers, on their way to home ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, turned turtle in Pirganj upazila under Rangpur district on Saturday.

The incident took place on Rangpur-Dhaka highway at Kalabagan area around 5:30am.

The dead persons are yet to be identified.

Rezaul Karim, officer-in-charge of Pirganj Police Station, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
