N’ganj 7 murder: bail of accused Nur Hossain denied

A Narayanganj court rejected bail petition of the prime accused, Nur Hossain, in the seven-murder case.

Judge of Narayanganj District and Sessions Judge’s Court Sayed Enayet Hossain on Wednesday passed the order after hearing the bail petition.

The court also fixed 8 February for hearing on the charge sheet of the case.

Narayanganj City Corporation Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam, his three aides and driver and senior lawyer Chandan Sarkar and his driver were kidnapped from the Dhaka-Narayanganj link road on April 27, 2014.

Three days later, six bodies were found floating in the Shitalakkhya. The other body was recovered from the river on the following day.
