NHRC forms fact finding committee over Longudu attack
National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has formed a three-member fact finding committee over the recent attack on indigenous villages in Longudu, Rangamati.
"The committee was formed yesterday with Banchita Chakma, honorary member of NHRC, as its chief," Farhana Sayed, public relations officer of NHRC, told BSS.
The committee has been asked to submit its report within four working days.
Many houses of indigenous community were vandalized and set on fire on June 2 after the death of a local Bengali political leader named Nayan in Dighinala.
