3 construction workers die falling from 10th floor at Baily Road

Three construction workers have been killed after falling from the 10th floor of an under-construction multistoried building in the city`s Ramna Thana area this afternoon.

The incident took place when a bamboo-built carrier with the workers fell down while they were working for shuttering of a lift at the 10th floor of a multi-storey building at Baily Road under Ramna Police Station, police and hospital sources said.

The workers, Zahangir Hossain, 25, Md Sayem, 17 and Md Joynul, were rushed to emergency department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital, where the on-duty doctors pronounced them dead.

All of them hailed from Gopalganj upazila of Sylhet district.
