No cattle market on roads: Obaidul

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has once again said that anyone will not be allowed to set up cattle markets on roads and highways in a bid to ensure safe and trouble-free journey during of Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puza.

The minister said this while speaking at an awareness program about traffic law at Uttra in the capital on Saturday.

“We have taken preparations including repairing roads to ensure safe journey during of Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puza”.

“No fitness less vehicle will not be allowed to enter the capital Dhaka in a bid to avoid traffic jumps during the festivals”, he said. The minister also said that the footpaths will be freed from hawkers to ensure easy movement of pedestrians.
