Huge arms, ammo recovered in Narayanganj

Police in a special drive recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition including two rocket launchers at Rupganj upazila in Narayanganj on Friday.

The drive is underway while police conducted this from 7am on Friday.

A team of police led by Mahmudul Hassan, officer-in-charge of Narayanganj DB Police and Ismail Hussain, officer-in-charge of Rupganj Police Station, recovered two light machine guns at 5 no. sector of Purbachal area in the district at 1am.

At that time, police arrested three people in this connection. After getting information from them, police recovered seventy M-16 rifles, forty magazines, two rocket launchers, thousands grenades, ammunition from a water body on Friday morning.
