National budget for FY 2017-18 approved

The proposed budget for fiscal year 2017-18 was approved in a special meeting of the cabinet on Thursday noon.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting held in the cabinet room of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban.

The cabinet also endorsed the Appropriation (supplementary) Bill- 2017, and the Appropriation Bill-2017.

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith and other cabinet ministers and state ministers concerned attended the meeting.

Now Finance Minister is placing his ninth consecutive budget of Tk 4,00, 266 crore at the Jatiya Sangsad shortly.
