Ctg sea and air ports resume activities

The delivery of the goods in the country’s principal sea port, Chittagong resumed this afternoon after a lapse of 30-hour as the cyclone “Mor”a weakened and crossed the land between Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar without causing serious damages on Tuesday morning.

“The delivery of goods resumed since 4 pm on Tuesday after Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has withdrawn the highest security alert at the port,” said CPA Secretary Mohammad Omar Faruk.

However, loading and unloading of goods from the vessels are expected to resume from tomorrow morning as the vessels, sent to outer anchorage for safety, are yet to reach for berthing in the jetties during the full tide.

Meanwhile, flight operations in Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport resumed from 2 pm after eight hours of suspension, Manager of the Airport Wing Commander Reazul Kabir told.
