PM mourns death of Aziz

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of MA Aziz, acting president of Dhaka city unit of Bangladesh Awami Lague.

In a condolence message sent to the media on Saturday, she expressed her condolences.

The Prime Minister said, Awami League has lost a dedicated and tested leader in his death.

Sheikh Hasina said the role, MA Aziz played in reorganising Dhaka city AL after the brutal assassination of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975, was endless. The nation will ever remember with deep respect his courageous role during the War of Liberation as well as in the struggle for establishing democracy in the country.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
