SIU suspends 10 students over killing
Sylhet International University’s (SIU) authority has suspended its ten students for their alleged involvement in the killing of a student.
The decision of suspension was taken at a meeting of the university’s syndicate on Friday night.
The suspended students are Hossain Mohammad Sagor, Elias Ahmed Punom, Emran Khan, Moynul Islam Rumel, Bashir Ahmed Tuhin, Nahid, Awaal Ahemd Sohan, Ashik, Saymon and Nayan.
Habibur Rahman Habib, a 4th year student of the university and also an activist of the city unit of BCL, was hacked to death allegedly by some activists of the organization he belonged to in the city on 19 January.
