Modi to visit Dhaka on June 6

At the invitation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi would be coming to Bangladesh on a State visit from 06 to 07 June 2015, a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms.

This would be Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to Bangladesh. The visit is expected to further strengthen the excellent relationship between the two countries.

During the visit, the two Prime Ministers would have official talks where the entire gamut of bilateral relations would be discussed. The Indian Prime Minister would also pay a courtesy call on the Hon’ble President of Bangladesh.

The long standing Tista river water sharing issue is expected to meet a resolution among others during this visit of Narendra Modi.
