Khaleda to sit with BNP leaders today

The BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has convened a meeting of her party’s standing committee members on Saturday night.

Media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan informed this to journalist on Friday.

He said the meeting is scheduled to begin at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office at 8:30pm with Khaleda in the chair.

Contacted, a standing committee member, wishing anonymity, said the meeting is expected to discuss the party’s organizational issues as well as the upcoming Union Parishad polls and the country’s political development.

He said the meeting is also likely to discuss the party’s next course of action and finalise the date for holding its national council.
