Jhenaidah bus into ditch, 1 killed

One person was killed and seven others were injured when a bus fell into a roadside ditch and overturned in Jhenaidah’s Sadar Upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Liakat Hossain, 30, of Shailakupa.

Sub-Inspector of Sadar Upazila Ismail Hossain informed this to Jagonews24.com.

He said the injured, one of them in a critical condition, had been admitted to the Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital.

Locals, and Fire Service and police personnel rescued the other passengers and took the injured to hospital, he added.
