Clash between policemen-slum dwellers in Kalyanpur
A clash and chase and counter-chase have taken place between policemen and slum dwellers during an eviction drive at a slum ‘Porabosti’ in capital’s Kalyanpur area at 10:45 am on Thursday.
Bhuiyan Mahbub Hossain OC of mirpur model Thana police confirmed the matter to JagoNews24.com.
He said, when Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) began to demolish slum houses slum dwellers protest and demonstration.
Police fired tear-gas to disperse the slum dwellers.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
