The government is trying to build a secular country

President Md Abdul Hamid said, the government is trying to build a progressive, democratic, modern, secular, hunger and poverty-free country in light of the spirit of liberation and vision-2021.

He said this while speaking in the first JS session of the year on Wednesday.

Abdul Hamid in his speech highlighted present government`s activities and successes in different areas, including economy, trade and commerce, agriculture, power, foreign relations, tourism, education, health, good governance, women and children development, sports and youth development, rural development, expatriates` welfare, science and technology, ICT and public administration.

He hoped that the country would succeed in achieving the targets by consolidating good governance in every stratum of state and society, institutionalizing democracy and ensuring all-out participation of the people.
