ACC files case against Falu over graft

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday filed a case against former BNP lawmaker Mosadek Ali Falu on charges of acquiring wealth beyond known sources of income and concealed information.

ACC deputy director Jahangir Alam filed the case under sections 26 (2) and 27 (1) of Corruption Prevention Act, 2004 with Ramna Police Station.

The plaintiff in the case details alleged that Falu concealed information about wealth worth around Taka 17.86 crore in the asset details submitted to the ACC.

Falu in his wealth statement mentioned of having assets of over Taka 147.94 crore.
