Bangladesh’s DGMS enters MoU with India’s AIMSRC

The Directorate General of Medical Service (DGMS) of Bangladesh Armed Forces on Monday sealed a MoU with India’s Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMSRC) for cooperation on patient care, medical education, research, training and exchange of healthcare professionals.

The MoU was entered by Director General of Medical Services of Bangladesh Armed Forces Maj. Gen. SM Motahar Hossain and Medical Director of Amrita Institute (based in Cochin, Kerala) Dr. Prem Nair through video conference, according to a press release issued by Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi.

The ceremony was witnessed among others by Defence Adviser at Bangladesh High Commission Brig. Gen. Abdul Hamid and Principal Amrita School of Medicine Dr. (Col) Vishal Marwaha.

Under the deal, Amrita institute will provide state of the art specialty medical care to the members of Bangladesh Armed Forces, including retired personnel and their family members. Facilities of telemedicine and tele-radiology will be set up at CMH, Dhaka. Necessary consultation of selected patients will be done with concerned doctors of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre.
