Police interrogates Safat and Sakif

Safat Ahmed and Sadman Sakif were questioned by police at Detective Branch (DB) office on Friday over their alleged involvement in raping two university girls at Banani The Raintree hotel on March 28.

In primary interrogation, the offence seems to be true, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) joint commissioner Krisnho Pad Roy said at a press conference at DMP Media Centre on Friday.

The investigation team of police also interrogated them to know possible location of other accused including alleged rapist Nayem Ashraf, police sources said.

Police arrested Safat and Sakif in Sylhet on Thursday night and they will be produced before a Dhaka court on Friday afternoon.
