2 killed in Jhenaidah militant den

At least two militants were killed in a suicide bombing as police raid a militant den at Shibganj in Jhenaidah that law enforcers busted on Saturday night.

Apart from, three police officials have been injured. They are Additional Deputy Commissioner Nazmul Islam, Sub-Inspector Mohsin and Mojibur Rahman.

The injured men were first sent to Kotchandpur Sadar Hospital and later admitted to Jessore Medical College and Hospital.

Three men-one house owner Johurul Islam, Alam and Jasim- were detained in the incident.

The district administration imposed section 144 at the area.

Azbahar Ali Sheikh, Additional Superintendent of Police of Jhenaidah, the law enforcers wrapped up a militant hideout in the area on Saturday night. Later a team of Counter Terrorism Unit rushed to the spot from the Dhaka and began the operation on Sunday morning.
