PM meets with agitated teachers today

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will meet with public university striking teachers on Monday at 4:30pm at Ganabhaban in capital.

Deputy Press Secretary of PM Ashraful Alam Khokan and Dr ASM Maksud Kamal, secretary general of the Federation of Bangladesh University Teacher’s Association confirmed the matter to JagoNews24.com.

Dr. ASM Maksud said, Executive committee members of the university and federation members will attend the meeting.

Teachers of all 37 public universities of the country have been protesting the eighth national pay scale since May last year and pressing for a four-point charter of demands, including formation of a commission to initiate an independent pay scale for them.
