Girl born without arms gets GPA-5

Beauty Akter was born with no arms - but she doesn’t let that disability stop her. She proved that any physical challenge cannot be impediment to attain one’s goal.

The indomitable girl, who uses her feet to write with pen, secured GPA-5 from science group in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination in 2017.

Beauty also obtained scholarship in primary level and Junior Secondary Certificate (JSC) examinations. Her dauntless attitude helped her to achieve the outstanding result.

She is a daughter of a landless poor farmer Bayzid Hossain of Shibpur village in Khetlal upazila under Joypurhat district.

Expressing her future ambition, Beauty said, “I want to be a model teacher.”

Akamuddin, headmaster of Aklash Shibpur-Shampur high school, said, “We found Beauty Akter doesn’t consider herself physically-challenged and she is very much eager for education.”

“If she gets proper assistance, her goal will be achieved,” he added.
