Hefazat-e-Islam unwilling to involve in politics

Hefazat-e-Islam Ameer Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi said that the organization would never involve in politics.

“Hefazat-e-Islam will never involve in politics and will not support any political party directly or indirectly,” he said, according to a press release issued by the organization on Sunday.

The organization also condemned media reports on Hefazat’s political involvement.

“Some media publish this sort of news for spreading confusion over the government’s positive decision on school textbooks, Greek goddess Themis and Qawmi madrasa certificate,” read the press release.
