Dead bodies of four militants buried as unclaimed

The dead bodies of four militants recovered from the Shibganj militant den were buried as unclaimed bodies at Chapainawabganj Municipality Graveyard early hours on Saturday.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chapainawabganj TM Mojahidul Islam confirmed this saying, “All the four bodies were buried as unclaimed around 1.30 am while only one identified militant Abu`s parents refused to receive his body.”

Samples of the three unidentified bodies were collected for DNA test, he added.

He also informed that a case was recorded with Shibganj Thana last night.

Four militants were killed in a suicidal blast at a militant den at Shibnagar Trimohoni village under Mobarakpur union of Shibganj upazila of the district during an operation code named “Eagle Hunt” conducted by SWAT and local law enforcers on Wednesday and Thursday last.
