Govt. allows Mobile in jail

The common prisoners will use mobile phones and communicate with their relatives from jails of the country immediately.

Additional Inspector General of Prisons Col Fazlul Kabir said, the prisoners will be allowed to call paying charges to the jail authority.

In a press conference on Saturday, he said that the prisoners will only be allowed to talk with close relatives and their family members over mobile phone and the phone calls will be recorded.

The new system will lessen the misuse of mobile phones and prevent irregularities and corruptions in jails
