Only Sheikh Hasina`s govt works for women: Chumki

State Minister for Woman and Children`s Affairs Meher Afroz Chumki said today that when elections come all parties vie for the women`s vote but once in power they forget about them.

Only Sheikh Hasina`s government thinks about the women, she said while speaking at an industrial and cottage fair in Gazipur Kaliganj upazila.

Chumku said four million woman workers bolster the apparel industry and bolster the economy. She said that under the direction of Sheikh Hasina the ministry was working for women`s welfare.

The Kaliganj upazila with assistance from the ministry and private sector organized the function.
