SI Masud suspend for harassing bank official

Masud Shikder, a sub-inspector of police was suspended for torturing Bangladesh Bank official Golam Rabby.

Maruf Hosen, Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations of Dhaka Metropolitan Police ensured the Jagonews24.com.

Rabbi, 28, an assistant director of Bangladesh Bank, alleged that he was returning to his Kalyanpur home from a relative’s house on Taj Mahal Road around 11:00pm on January 9.

He filed a written complaint to Deputy Police Commissioner Biplob Kumar Sarker against Masud for torturing.

It is mentionable that, cops led by Masud allegedly tortured Rabby for refusing to pay bribe of Tk 5 lakh in the capital’s Mohammadpur.

The law enforcers reportedly threatened him with implicating him in a false narcotics case.
