Fire doused in Motijheel

Fire in Taranga Complex at Motijheel commercial area has been doused. Five fire fighter units doused the flame around 12.45 AM after half-an-hour effort.

Earlier on Thursday at 12 AM, a fire broke out at the six-storied Taranga Complex and soon engulfed the entire spaces of the second and the third floors, said Fire Service and Civil Defense sources.

Two branches of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited and National Bank Limited were located on those two floors. All documents and papers were bunt.

The damage caused by the fire could not be estimated immediately, the sources added. No one was injured.
