Highway blocked over labor killing in Comilla

The garment worker blocked Dhaka-Chittagong highway under the Chouddogram area in Comilla after killing of a worker in road accident.

The road accident took place at Chofua road on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at 8am on Wednesday.

The victim is Jahanara Begum, 24, have been worked at ‘Amir Shirt’ garment near at this highway.

Hearing the news, garment workers blocked the highway demanding exemplary punishment of the killers.

In-charge of Miahbazaar Highway Nazim Uddin ensured this to journalist.

He said, workers blocked the highway that turned endless jam. police tried to easy the road, he added.
