9 held, huge pirated CDs seized

Nine people were held along with huge pirated Compact Disks (CD) and digital video disc (DVD) from Gulshan area in capital on Tuesday morning.

Director of Legal and Media wing of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3, Mufti Mahmud Khan ensured this to Jagonews24.com.

He said, acting on a tip off, a team of RAB-3 conducted the drive in Gulshan and detained nine people, including mastermind of piracy Sagor alias Jony Choukidar and Uni herbal owner Hakim.

The lawmen, however, recovered 25,000-pirated CD and DVDs, two foreign made pistol, yaba tablets, and different materials of piracy.
