BGB hands over list of 49 Yaba factories to Myanmar
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has sought cooperation to Myanmar Police Force (MPF) to curb production and smuggling of drugs in the border areas.
Md. Anisur Rahman, Additional Director General of BGB made the remarks on Thursday while addressing a press conference in Dhaka.
He said that they have submitted a total of 49 Yaba factories to the MPF delegation team.
“MPF assured us that they would take stern action against the factories,” he added.
A six day long senior level official conference between BGB and MPF was held in the capital from 1-6 April.
The 16 members Bangladesh delegation team led by BGB ADG Md. Anisur Rahman while Brigadier General Mayo Shoye Ween led Myanmar’s six members delegation team.
