Tannery owners plotting workers agitation

The owners of tanneries at Hazaribag in the capital city Dhaka have started to think of a ruse to keep their factories going on there, though the government and the apex court ordered them to relocate at Savar.

The owners are plotting workers agitation under the banner of Tannery Workers Union, Jago News came to know this after talking to people working there.

A special meeting is scheduled to hold on (Monday) April 3, where tanners and workers will take part to discuss how they can agitate workers.

On the other hand, tanners association at a press conference on Sunday at Dhanmondi announced that all factories would be shut down by April 6 as per the court order.
