HC stays Mayor Ariful’s suspension

The High Court stayed suspension of Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haq Chowdhury on Monday a day after the local government division suspended him from his office.

The division issued a notification on Sunday to suspend the Mayor.

Ariful on Monday filed a writ petition challenging the government decision.
