BNP-backed candidate wins CCC polls

BNP-backed mayoral candidate Monirul Hoque Sakoo has unofficially won the Comilla City Corporation election held on Thursday.

Sakoo got 65,795 votes while ruling Awami League-backed mayor aspirant Anjum Sultana Sima got 58,261 votes according to results from 101 polling centres out of 103 centres.
