At least seven militants killed in Moulvibazar

At least seven suspected militants were killed at Nasirpur hideout in Moulvibazar Sadar upazila in an anti militancy drive this afternoon, officials said.

Monirul Islam, head of Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crimes unit of police,  disclosed the information at a briefing in Moulvibazar. He said that seven to eight people died in sucidal explosions and their bodies tore apart.

He , however, could not confirm the actual number of militants killed in the incident.

Earlier a bomb disposal team entered the den around 4:00pm.

From the early morning, explosions and continuous firing were heard after SWAT team resumed the operation amid rough weather.
