2 siblings donate land to DNCC for road construction
Two siblings have donated 0.67 katha land to Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) to build a wide road adjacent to capital’s airport road.
Anisul Huq, Mayor of the Dhaka North City Corporation, greeted the duo at Nagar Bhaban on Monday morning.
Shafiq Hossen and Shariar Hossen, residents of Uttara, also the owner of the land, assured DNCC’s mayor to donate the 10 feet wide and 48 feet length land for the road construction that is situated south part of their plot.
Referring to their cooperation, Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Anisul Huq said that this is a unique example for the countrymen.
The mayor also said that the development process of the country is increasing very fast at the moment and everybody should come forward and take part in it.
Meanwhile, Dhaka North City Corporation has already taken strict measures against those who have been illegally occupying land for many years.
“From now on, no one can illegally occupy a single piece of land of the capital,” the mayor added.
Among others, DNCC ward councilor Md. Afsar Uddin Khan, reserved seat councilor Shanaz Prveen, DNCC chief engineer Brig General Md. Saeed Anwarul Islam, additional chief engineer Sayed Khudratullah, were also present at the ceremony.
