Textbook distribution on new year`s day a huge success: Nahid

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on Saturday said it was very difficult to distribute the textbooks among the students on the very first day of the New Year but the present government under the versatile leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is successfully doing that.

"Distribution of textbooks on the first day of the New Year is a big success of the present government," he said while addressing the 70th anniversary celebration of Nabiganj Dighlaba High School in the district.

Nahid said the incumbent government has put emphasis on madrasah education so it has built over 1,000 new madrasah buildings.

Awami League Central Working Committee organising secretary Advocate Misbah Uddin Siraj, lawmakers from Habiganj district Abdul Majid Khan and MA Munim Babu, Zila Parishad Administrator Dr Musfiq Hossain Chowdhury and Nabiganj upazila Chairman Alamgir Chowdhury, attended the function, among others.
