8642 killed in road accident in 2015

A total of 8642 people were killed and 21855 were injured in 2015 across the country in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Passenger Welfare Association informed this at National Press Club on Saturday.

In a written statement Secretary General of the Association Md. Mozammel Haque Chowdhury said, a total of 6581 road accident took place while 30497 passengers, drivers and transport workers were victimized. 

The information was taken from different reports of newspapers from January to December in 2015.
