Bogra three-pronged clash kills 1

One person was killed in a three-pronged clash between Awami League, Sramik League and Jatiya Party on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam, 32, was an activist of Sramik League and younger brother of Rashedul Islam Badsha, Awami League mayoral candidate in municipal poll. 

The clash was continuing while tilling this report at 7.11pm. 

According to police, Rashedul Islam Badsha has been alleging against Jatiya Party’s mayoral candidate that they gave the vote to BNP’s mayoral candidate in municipal poll.

In this connection a tense situation was prevailing for some days.

At 12pm, Rashedul’s brother Shafiqul Islam locked in a brawl with Jatiya Party leader Ferous Hasan Sumon that was ensued a clash. 

At one stage of clash, a faction of Awami League took part in the clash in favor of Jatya Party. During this time Shafiqul was beaten to death on the spot.

When contacted Additional Police Superintendent in Bogra told Jagonews24.com that, additional police were sent to the spot to take the situation under control.
