Five JMB men held in Rajshahi

Police arrested five members of outlawed Jamaatul Mujahedeen Bangladesh (JMB) from different areas under Bagmara Upazila of the district early hours today.

The arrested persons were identified as Rohidul Islam, 43, Lutfor Rahman, 38, Abul Hossain, 55, Abdul Mannan, 35, and Abdus Sattar, 34.

Under the leadership of Abdus Sattar, four others have started their subversive activities in the area freshly, said Nasim Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bagmara Police Station.

On information, police confirmed the matter and arrested them from their respective houses after conducting raids around 4.30 am. They were listed JMB cadres and were also cohorts of the then Bangla Bhai, the OC added.
