Cops attacked in Comilla : 2 JMB militants held
Two JMB militants hurled crude bombs on member of law enforces during a routine check in a passengers bus in Comilla on Tuesday.
The incident took place at 11am on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway. The arrestees were identified as Zahir 25 and Hasan 24.
Of them, Zahir was rushed to Comilla Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated after he was hit by bullet on his body and neck.
Police said a Dhaka bound passenger’s bus ‘Shaymoli Paribahan’ was coming from Chittagong. While it was crossing at Kutumbupur area in Chandina, law enforces signaled the bus to stop. At that time, two members of the JMB got off from the bus and hurled crude bombs on law enforcers. Police arrested the duo while they were trying to flee the scene.
After hearing the news, Comilla police super Md. Shah Abid Hossen, detective branch and members of Rapid action battalion (Rab) visited the spot.
Nasir Uddin, officer in charge of Chandina police station confirmed the matter.
